This new rainbow-colored version of our Wooden Advent / Birthday Spiral from Grimm's Spiel & Holz of Germany helps families to take part in a classic Waldorf tradition at home.
The spiral is made of of eight separate pieces, each with three holes for holding brass candle holders and Grimm's wooden birthday decorations (sold separately).
For a wonderful Advent ritual, light a new candle on the spiral each night from December 1 to 24, lighting the final candle on Christmas Eve. Children love counting down the days to Christmas as the warm candle glow moves closer and closer to the spiral's center each day.
A fun variation is to incorporate Ostheimer's Mary and Donkey and Joseph figures, moving the figures through the spiral as Christmas approaches.
This Wooden Spiral is also a beautiful birthday ring, and can be decorated with Grimm's birthday ring decorations to help celebrate your child's special day.
NOTE: This item is not a toy, and is intended for decorative purposes only. Adult supervision must always be used when candles are lit. Should be kept out of reach of children under 3. Do not put candles directly into the drilled wood holes. Our Brass Candle Holders (sold separately) must be used to hold candles within the spiral.
