We ship from Pennsylvania (& a few items from California). Our shipping methods are via DHL, UPS, & USPS. The delivery time frame depends on the type of shipping selected at check-out and your shipping zone.

Why and Whale is pleased to provide simple and affordable flat rate shipping options to all contiguous U.S. states. Domestic ground shipping is free for orders over $149 and the item(s) being ordered all must be able to ship via traditional ground shipping for this promotion to apply. Orders over $149 that do not ship via domestic ground shipping (expedited orders, large parcel items, medium parcel items, freight delivery, and items that ship from outside of the United States) may include a small fee.

Our order processing window typically takes 24-48 business hours.  If your order contains PREORDER / PRESALE / "SHIPS SOON" items, it WILL take longer for your entire order to ship. Please be aware that we are experiencing delays in order processing and shipping that may impact your purchase. 

SHIPS SOON: The item is en route to us, we provide the arrival date in the first line of the description.

PREORDER: The item will be ordered and any updates will be provided upon request. The ETA is listed in the first line of the description.

PRESALE: The item is on order with the vendor and pending release. The ETA is listed in the first line of the description.

Economy is 7-12 business days depending on where you live in the US.

Standard is 5-7 business days.

2-3 Day Rush is 2-3 business days after the order has been processed.

Carrier delays can and do happen. We are not responsible for any delays once the package is in the carrier's system.

We are unable to upgrade to expedited shipping methods after the order has been placed.

Why and Whale is not responsible for package deliveries affected by an invalid or old address provided by the customer, natural occurrences, air and ground transportation delays or strikes, customs, or transfers from our U.S. carrier to the local carrier in the destination country. 

Shop purchases have optional paid package insurance added prior to checkout. It must be purchased at the time the order is placed to be covered.

You will receive a shipping confirmation email with a tracking number once your order ships. The tracking number for orders within the U.S. will include an estimated delivery day. 

If you're missing items or shipments or if you have any concerns about the products you received, contact us within 7 days of the delivery date. Please make certain to ship to a secure location as we will not process refunds or re-ship orders once the tracking shows delivery confirmation.

Returns on shop orders may be sent back within 30 days & include provided RMA #. Sale items are not eligible for return. (see next topic)

An item may be returned if it is sent back:
● in new condition
● with original tags and packaging intact
● free of stains, odors, animal hair, and damage

Email help@whyandwhale.com with subject "Return". Include your name, order number, & list the items you wish to return. Your order number can be found in your initial email receipt. We'll email you back within a week with further instructions.

We are not able to accept exchanges at this time.

Customers are responsible for all return shipping fees. Why and Whale is not responsible for untraceable or lost return shipments. We recommend using a delivery service with tracking to protect your return.

Returns over $100 will be issued a restocking fee of 10%.

Please allow up to two weeks for your return to be processed once received at our warehouse, and 1-3 business days for refunds to be processed to your original form of payment.

Proof of purchase is required for items to be return-eligible.
