Bird Blocks

Handcrafted in Grand Rapids, Michigan, Uncle Goose makes heirloom quality wooden blocks using sustainable materials from around the Great Lakes. With a playful approach to making educational and fun toys, they’re extremely passionate about being socially and environmentally considerate, which is why they only use fast-growing basswood and non-toxic, child-safe inks. Why such fastidious attention to detail? Uncle Goose has a dream that one hundred years from now, a child will be playing and learning with the same set of heirloom blocks they made today. Their products need to do more than look photogenic: they need to embody what it means to be beautiful, purposeful and sustainable.

One side of each block reveals a close up of the bird featured on its opposite. Colorful Art Nouveau letters grace the remaining sides. Two debossed letters on each block. A companion to our Bug and Flower sets.
